Photographer - deposit paid

Photographer is paid and locked in. phew

That deposit hurt too. The 2nd biggest one we have had to pay -
$700 - ouch!(Curzon was the biggest with a deposit of $2000).

But I am proud of Ben...of both of us. We have paid several deposits so far just out of our general everyday funds...we are getting there slowly but surely.

The deposit for the photographer thought we only half paid for. My mum has very kindly offered that the photographer be her contribution to the wedding. A offer we happily accepted.

The photographer last night has taken a booking for the 15th of November (we are the 14th) and she said she was worried as they had done nothing except pay the deposit on the reception venue. I couldn't even fathom being that complacent about it all as we are already hearing "sorry we are booked already" from people.

I arrive at the photographers home with a bulleted list indicating times for the day, who is where and what is happening. Things like when the quartet have to leave, how long we have the horse and carriage for, when guests will arrive, etc.

Can you tell I'm a project manager? Ha, ha!

Its all coming into view. The mental picture is taking shape.

I have been listening to potential wedding songs for a few weeks now. Paying attention to the lyrics or the beat to make sure it will work. I still have no idea what the wedding waltz will be but every time I hear the string version of Ave Maria I get all emotional knowing it is the song I'll be walking down the isle too.

Little sis and I have started on the guest list for the Bridal Shower and Hens nite - whoo hoo! The fun part *grin* or the embarrassing part...ha, ha.

This weekend Ben and I blocked off as a free weekend. We both swore we would not organize anything so we can just relax. Okay...I swore I wouldn't as Ben glared at me, lol!

Its not a good sign when you actually have to write a free weekend into your diary...but such is life at the moment.

And can I just say I am over the rain in Sydney. We are wondering if our poor roof (which we got quotes on to replace before Christmas) will actually last the year after all. We will reassess that decision at the end of the month.

Next was to be a florist tomorrow nite but I have canceled purely because of geography. They are too far away. Another evening to sit quietly......sigh....
