Wedding Rings

A few weeks ago Ben and I met with the people from "Larsen Wedding Rings" in the city.

We found them at one of the wedding expos and made a booking within a few minutes.

There concept was allowing couples to make there own wedding rings. And I don't mean just design...we are talking MAKE them from melting down the metal, setting it, shaping it, basicaly everything up to a ring then the staff finish it off (polish, set stones, do engraving, etc).

We thought what could be more special then making the wedding ring for the other person.

Bens was going to be simple . He wanted a thick gold band.

Mine - mine would be more complicated. Ben wanted my wedding band to have stones in it. After chatting with the designer she suggested having 3 baguette diamonds across the band the same width as my engagement ring.

Because my engagement ring has flawless diamonds when the quote came in a few days later it was about $1000 high then we expected.

So now we are trying to decide if we should pay the extra or just go to a normal jeweller and buy something already made. We could then get it engraved.

I'm leaning towards buying something already made - I'm in dollar saving mode now.
