Saturday morning the bridesmaids and I shuffled through countless dress racks giggling and sniggering at some of the dresses you can only describe as SCARY until we eventually found something we were all happy with.
I think between Martina and Louisa there were about 10 dresses that they modeled - one sensational hot pink number which we will eternally owe Marty for. She was the only one willing to be seen in it for the sake of viewing the style :) Thanks Marty!
The dress we have narrowed it down to is a flattering silk number which we will order in a dark red (photo shows a pinky red). The price was fair and it didn't appear to present any problems in terms of getting alterations done, or needing any unusual accessories.
Here is a piccie of the gown modeled by Louisa in the store fitting rooms.
On Sunday Ben and I dragged ourselves into the car and proceeded to then get very lost in the far south west suburbs of Sydney. We were trying to find "Cobbitty Carriages" who kindly drove out to find us to escort us in. By this stage we had been in the car over an hour and a half.
The carriage was everything we thought it would be and once we saw pictures of the stunning solid white perusian horses who will be our transport we booked them in! Ben did most of the talking. I was too busy ooh-ing and ahh-ing over 3 Alaskan malamute dogs the couple owned. They were so beautiful and talkative.
Here is a pic of the carriage we are using which seats up to 8 (and those are the horses we are using too).
A very productive weekend!
Thank you to the girls for joining me on Saturday. I think we hit 4 or 5 stores in total before chatting over lunch at Crinitis. A nice way to spend the day and it is great to have found a dress so quickly.
Next on the hit list is visiting the photographer tonight...and a florist on Wednesday. The list is endless :D
