Gosh - time flies. Feb is here!
We were away all of last week which is why there was no action on this blog...but we are back into getting up at 5.30am to walk the dog, then work and try to squeeze in a few wedding related tid-bits. Well I squeeze and Ben just says "yes dear" :)
On the agenda for Feb I have another trip out west to view a carriage - this time with Cobbitty Carriages. They have a stunning 8 seater black beauty that I'm pretty sure is drawn by Clydesdale's. I want! I want!
This Saturday the gals and I are off to check out Bridesmaids dresses. A whole morning of playing dress-ups - yay! lol!
On the 4th we are meeting with the photographer.
On the 6th I have a meeting with Sydney Wedding Flowers who are located out over near the airport somewhere.
Then of course Valentines Day is on the 14th PLUS Ben and I booked in a day spa session (it was a gift I gave him in November 2007) on the 17th.
So some wedding stuff....some relaxing stuff....and oh, another dress fitting on the 11th in which I WILL NOT wear blue underwear, ha, ha.
And there is nothing like a dress fitting to pick up motivation for exercise. I had been a bit laid back on the exercise since Christmas. A few sessions with my trainer...a few self driven sessions but nothing too intense. But after a few "relaxed" weeks I began to think how embarrassing it would be if I went back and I had PUT ON weight! It may sound really girly but it would be sooooo humiliating as Jo Jo isn't one to beat around the bush. He'd just come out with something like "Oh you have filled out a bit!" lol!
I started a routine called "Bikini Bootcamp" which is a book written in the U.S. I read it a few months ago and kept thinking "soon...soon" but never did anything about it. Well since it didn't look too difficult I thought their circuit sessions and core sessions would be a good place to start.
I have never sweat so much in my life.
What looked easy on paper was far from easy. A 40 minute circuit session with only 15 second gaps between sets. I think I sweated out about a kilo of fluid....which I promptly put back in as I sat collapsed on the couch sculling water.
It was intense...and my abs are certainly feeling the 120 crunches I had to do.
But I gotta start somewhere so I am determined to stick with it. Jo Jo - I'll be ready come the 11th, lol!
