Haunting words

At the beginning of the year I joked with several people that "...come Easter all the wedding plans will probably be done!"

Well Easter was last weekend and I am somewhat happy and somewhat embarrassed to admit that the statement came true.

Of course not EVERYTHING is done - I mean the wedding is still quiet some time away and certain things can only be done much closer to the date..but everything we CAN DO now is done.

Dont believe me? Well here is the list...

Photographer - done
Dress - Well underway - 3rd fitting in 2 weeks
Bridesmaids dresses - chosen but cannot order till June/July
Groomsmen - suits chosen but cannot order till June/July
Transport - done
Celebrant - done
Reception - done
Cake - selected but cannot be made till ALLOT closer to the date
Honeymoon - planned out but told not to book till June/July
Ceremony music - chosen and quartet booked
Florist - selected but cannot order to later in the year
Stationary - design done but invites don't go out till 3 months before
Wedding rings - chosen and will order around august (and mine is so friggin cool!!, lol)
Table decorations - done
Make-up artist - done (thanks to my freelance web design skills, lol!)

Amazing isn't it! For all my stressing we were done in about 8 weeks. Now its a waiting game, and a saving game. We have paid all the necessary deposits and just need to come up with the final payments later in the year.

We have since been able to catch up on a few things now we have breathing room. Ben is back into "sell car" mode and looking at a big macho 4x4 utility vehicle - my one request being it is auto, hee, hee. The Vespa is going in to get some series engine tweaks...all the usual things you leave till they are REALLY necessary :)

It feels very weird to just be staring at a finished to-do list. There are of course a few other small things i need to work out (how i want my hair, jewellry for me and the girls, etc) but that can all wait till we are closer to the date.

Going to make for a very dull blog over the next few months :D But on the up side all those involved aren't stressed just smiling and letting the days roll by :)
